Role descriptions for the PORPOISE ecosystem

Survey Creator

Survey Creators submit a survey to the network which individuals can respond to. They are interested in building their own reputation by responding to their own survey or by gathering information from the participants who respond to the survey. survey Creators are able to view the running value of responses to their surveys before the public reveal of results, therefore benefiting from the wisdom of the crowd and extracting value from this information before the survey event takes place.

Survey Responder

Survey Responders participate in surveys by submitting their prediction of the outcome of the future event listed in the survey (survey event). survey Responders participate to build their reputation through PORPOISE scores and/or to bounties tied to specific surveys. survey Responders can post verifiable proofs their specific survey responses or aggregate PORPOISE scores.

Bounty Sponsor

Bounty Sponsors post PORP token bounties tied to surveys which are claimable by survey Responders whose responses were correct after the date of the survey event. Bounty Sponsors can set criteria that survey Responders must meet to be eligible for bounties. These criteria could include, but are not limited to, Survey Responder PORPOISE score.

Result Oracle

Result Oracles are responsible for posting the final real-world result to the blockchain that survey responder are voting on.
